Donations & Investment
The Ashendon Community Pub Society Limited was set up to purchase the Ashendon pub on behalf of the community. A successful Share Offer, in addition to government Community Ownership Funding allowed The Society to purchase the freehold of the building, pay associated expenses, and carry out essential repair works to open the bar.

Who Can Buy Shares?
Shares in The Society can be purchased by individuals over the age of 18 or by companies and other corporate bodies to invest in the pub at the heart of this community.

Who Can Be a Member?
The community benefit society structure means that any person over the age of 18 who buys the minimum number of shares automatically becomes a member of The Society. Your involvement as a member of The Society can be as much or as little as you wish. Each member then has one vote to exercise at the Annual Members Meeting regardless of how many shares they hold. Members can be elected to the Management Committee.
